Seeding Methods
There are many methods used in the industry for seeding, including aerial, drill, hydromulch, transplanting (Pre-disturbance salvage), and broadcast-and-drag. At Robison we specialize in the broadcast-and-drag method. We have developed an efficient, agile, and effective practice using our electric tractor to disc the ground and prep the soil. Then we broadcast the seed, and roll over the area with a culti-packer to gently secure the seed in place. We will often mark off the reseeded area with high-vis stakes stating “Revegetation in progress. Do Not Disturb”. We also use survey grade gps equipment to map the areas that have been seeded for future reference and monitoring.
